Another interesting fact, fouls... we block a punt and we get roughing the kicker, the rule states as soon as the ball has been blocked the kicker is now a unprotected player. Last weekend the snap was bad for the MMF kicker, he tried to kick the ball and was cut by a FS player, no flag? Does not the rule apply for both FU and FC?

Two horse collar tackles were made by MMF players...the rule states this, a player who grabs any part of the runner by the back of the top of the shoulder pads is a horse collar even if he has control of the runner. It is like a face mask, you may be bringing the runner down but if you touch the mask its a face mask...why was this not called.
Frankly this FU is not disciplined BS is just that BS. The game was won yesterday by a team with Heart. MMF played well but it was FU´s day. Look at the score.
Funny that two former GFL2 teams played two weeks in a row and two victories for FU , how those nay sayers have forgot that?
Next week we have another tough game and then the week after that again we face the Green Machine from RPz...both at home, maybe you moaners should go out and beat the penners too the empty beer bottles so you can pay entrance fee and not watch the ticker. Get some good Possmans to drink and watch the greatest game in the world at "THE BIG PURPLE"!

Unfortunately "success" of any kind in the German football leagues WILL always be met with haterism. This is why American Football will never reach its potential in this country. Instead of learning what is making the other teams successful so the formula can be copied and repeated in other clubs, people would rather tear you down and bring you back to their level. Excellence is constantly judged/berated and mediocrity is applauded-

New team comes into the picture and there are generally two type of people that will pop up: a) those that think "Great, more competition, better for all teams! Let's welcome them and work together to foster that healthy competition so that the level of football increases and the sport grows. or b) "Great another team, they will take my players so I must begin a negative campaign and talk shit about them immediately to stop that from happening." Ask yourself which category you fall in and if its B then you are and always will be a part of the problem and not the solution.

Unfortunately, there are more "B" personalities than "A" and thats why you have so many FU haters -- crabs in a barrel comes to mind! Personally it would be GREAT if the AFVD could come organize events that focused on gathering the "best practices" from successful clubs and sharing them from the bottom up because that is how you make the sport better for all.

If you are sucessful, some people will be envy.

But you have to read the rulebook about a horsecollar (pulled down immediately) or a facemask (twist, turn and pulled)

About blocked field goals.. read rule 6... and do not mix the rules.

Catch or Recovery by Kicking Team
ARTICLE 6.
a. If a player of the kicking team catches or recovers a scrimmage kick that crossed the neutral zone, the ball becomes dead (A.R. 6-3-1-V).
b. When opposing players, each eligible to touch the ball, simultaneously recover a rolling kick or catch a scrimmage kick, the simultaneous possession makes the ball dead. A kick declared dead in joint possession of opposing players is awarded to the receiving team (Rules 2-2-8 and 4-1-3-I).

Where and when on the field is it legal and where and when is it illegal? Here are some situations to test your understanding of the new rule.

Play One — After the snap from his own 20-yard line, the running back takes a pitch from the quarterback and runs around the right end. He breaks into the open and runs to the 35-yard line where a linebacker grabs him by the collar of his shoulder pad and immediately jerks him to the ground. Is this a legal tackle?

Answer — No, this is a horse-collar tackle because the tackler immediately pulled the runner to the ground. The penalty is 15 yards added on to the end of the run and an automatic first down.

Play Two — The same situation as Play One except the tackler grabs hold of the collar and is carried by the ball carrier for several yards before they both fall to the ground. Is this a legal play?

Answer — Yes, because the tackler did not immediately bring the ball carrier to the ground. The rule states that tacklers cannot immediately pull the runner down. They cannot grab the inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey.

Play Three — From his own 30-yard line the quarterback takes the snap and drops back in the pocket to pass. A defensive tackle grabs him by the collar and drags him down at the 18-yard line. Is this a legal play?

Answer — Yes, because it occurred against the quarterback in the pocket. This is an exception to the horse-collar tackle rule.

Play Four — On first down from his own 40-yard line, the halfback takes a handoff on a draw play. As he tries to run between the right guard and center, the runner is pulled down by the collar for a loss at the 37-yard line. Is this a legal tackle?

Answer — Yes, because it occurred against a runner who is inside the tackle box. This also is an exception to the horse-collar tackle rule.

Play Five — From his own 20-yard line the running back takes a handoff and breaks through the line of scrimmage. At the 35-yard line he collides with the safety who grabs the runner by the front of his shoulder pad collar and drags him down. Is this a legal tackle?

Answer — Yes, because the tackler grabbed the front collar of the shoulder pad.

Play Six — On a sweep to the right from the 30-yard line, the runner is grabbed by the back of his shoulder pad collar as he runs near the sideline and immediately pulled down for a 5-yard loss. Is this a legal tackle?

Answer — No, this is a horse-collar tackle. The runner was outside of the tackle box and was immediately brought to the ground. The penalty is 15 yards from the previous spot (the 30-yard line) and an automatic first down.

Ich war gestern live und hautnah beim Spiel dabei und ich habe weder auf Universe noch auf Farmers Seite eine wirklich unfaire Aktion oder gar eine Aktion mit Verletzungsabsicht gesehen (#20 ist übrigens wegen einer Rippenverletzung raus, die sich aus mehreren Aktionen verschlimmert hat und nicht wegen einer Kopf-/Nackenverletzung). 1 - 2 Aktionen waren vielleicht grenzwertig (auf beiden Seiten) und beide Teams sind, wie es in einem solchen Spiel dazu gehört, hart an die Grenze der Regeln gegangen. Aber hört mal, so ist das nun mal beim Football, wem das nicht passt und wer das nicht ab kann, der sollte Volleyball spielen.

Die Zuschauer, denke ich, haben ein spannendes Spiel gesehen mit einigen Highlights und gewonnen wurde das Spiel von der gestern besseren Mannschaft. Für meinen persönlichen Geschmack ist das Ergebnis zwar einen Score zu hoch ausgefallen aber dennoch gratuliere ich fair der Universe zum Sieg, auch wenn ich lila grundsätzlich nicht mag.

So und nun freue ich mich auf den Spieltag in zwei Wochen, vielleicht dreht sich dann das Blatt ja schon wieder.

Reisefreudigkeit bei Auswärtsspielen zum Beispiel.


Nur der Verein selbst lebt von einer großen Anzahl von Mitgliedern, die vor, während und nach einem Spieltag Tätigkeiten leisten, die bei anderen Teams von einigen wenigen erledigt werden.

Irgendwann wird das Team an Grenzen stoßen. Wann dies sein wird, muss noch abgewartet werden.

Die Frage die ich mir stelle, was bindet die zahlreichen Fans an dieses Team???? Nur aufgrund der Galaxy??? Das kann doch nicht denen ihr ernst sein?!

Ich denke die Frage wurde schon öfters hier beantwortet. Nach Schließung der Liga durch die NFL sahen einige Galaxyfans durch Gründung eines eigenen Vereines einen Weg der Abhängigkeit von der NFL zu entgehen und etwas aufzubauen das man selbst in Händen hält.

...neee, Galaxy is' tot, toter geht nicht... ...aber das "Gefühl", welches für jeden anders ist... ...der vielbeschworene "Spirit of Galaxy" welcher auch wieder für jeden etwas anderes bedeuten kann, hat den Anfang gemacht... ...mittlerweile, wie man auch am Heim-Spieltag an den modifizierten, ehemaligen Galaxy-, Inflatables sehen kann haben die Universler ihre eigene Identität gefunden, zusammengeschweisst durch viel Arbeit und Stolz auf die gemeinsame Leistung. Klar hatten wir einen rein numerischen Vorteil und können uns immer noch auf eine recht breite Fanbase (=Helfersklaven ) stützen... ...aber wir sind mitnichten ein so"reicher" Verein wie es hier im Forum immer mal wieder falsch behauptet wird, dem die gebratenen Tauben einfach mal so in den Mund fliegen... ...und selbst wenn? Spielen die Spieler auf dem Platz deswegen besser??? Es ist ja nicht so, daß Universe Brett Favre einfliegen lässt, oder? Über Imports der anderen Teams z.Bsp. wird kein Wort verloren... ...auch der Neid und Widerstand der Umwelt kann eine Gemeinschaft so richtig zusammenschweissen... ...wir mussten und müssen immer mehr beweisen als andere, weil wir neu sind, das ist klar... ...und gestern hat wieder einmal ein kleiner Schritt in diese Richtung geklappt... ...jetzt kommt der nächste, gegen unseren Lokalrivalen, da freu' ich mich schon drauf... ..'habe als Frankfurter die Pirates schliesslich schon gekannt, als ich die GFL "nur" vom GB her kannte... ...wird hoffentlich ein richtig guter Event mit vielen Zuschauern von beiden Teams, gute Werbung für Football, und ein Sieg für Lila!

Menno das Alles war mir so nicht bekannt. Nun habe ich viel mehr Infos um über Fehlentscheidungen motzen zu können.
Somit muss ich meine Aussage "Die Leistung der Refs. war okay" revidieren... Doch leider interessiert das keinen Ref. denn als Fotoheini habe ich die Klappe zu halten..



Aber als Fotoheini stört es mich extrem, wenn Spieler in der Coachingzone rumlatschen oder Coaches mir ausserhalb der Teamzone vor die Line latschen, ich aber nicht deren Teamzone betreten darf. *grummel*
Doch hätte ich dem "Hausherren" gestern was sagen können? Leider scheinte die Sonne von seiner Seite aus und da ich besser mit der Sonne im Rücken knipsen kann, habe ich meine Meinung lieber für mich behalten...

Extrem Lustig: Spiel kaum angepfiffen (also Passcheck kaum länger als 10 Minuten her) und schon kam die Meldung "Schraubstollen"... Natürlich lief mir der Coach durchs Bild *grummel*

Ach ich freu mich auf Samstag... Endlich wieder LILAGAMEDAY...

Ach ja: JA genau wegen der GALAXY bin ich bei UNIVERSE und hätten wir die GALAXY nicht gehabt und sie geliebt, würden viele nicht bei einem Gameday helfen oder mit dem Team mitreisen.

Als Beweis, im Treppenhaus ist alles voll Galaxy und Universe Zeugs. Im Wohnzimmer wird es auch mehr UUUUUND das Schlafzimmer ist LILA / ORANGE... Sogar die Lampen von Koziol sind lila oder orange.
