Second there was no World Cup in 1996! it is every 4 years duh

Since you have posted your hostile words to an American Football forum, you might not get the wanted attention.
Since you have dared to address bad words to our fatherland, I might inform you, that winning the war was not for free. Britain payed a high prize. The British Empire fell apart after 1945 and the British had to face a shortness in food all the way till the fifties. In those years we Germans already beefed up!
Your American friends made you pay for decades for all the fuel, ammunition, food and of course the Sherman tanks (your own were left in Northern Africa to rott in peace, because they failed to mess with German engeneering) you needed to be able to be somehow part of this victory you named.

Please do not except us to have the intention to be British. I was born in England, my father studied in Cambridge and I have a lot of respect for all of our European neighbors including the British.

As a German there is no desire to be anything but German!
