I think the Plattling post says it all - young QB struggled in his first real contest. He was also sick with the flu and stepped in for Farghali in the first 1/2. As if this is news to anyone - look for the Black Hawks to bring in a real QB, as early as this week. From my Plattling Source, Ingram did an excellent job running the ball, but really struggled with the passing game. The lone bright spot was a beautifully thrown bomb to Blakely in the 3rd Quarter. You add a real QB to this team like Hazel was last year, and you will see this offense explode. Something also important to remember is that Kandolo was used VERY little, and Starzengruber did not make the trip
More concerns in Plattling are on the defensive side of the ball. They gave up 35 to Prague. BUT, Berlin gave up 21 to Prague last season and was the top Defense in the GFL1. The fact that it was the first game in a new system, and that starters were played primarily in the first half despite the halftime score leads me to believe that the defense was also not that bad. One of the TD's was scored on a short field, and 2 in the 2nd half verses largely back-up personnel.
Are there questions with this team? Without a doubt yes! Will they get them answered? Only time will tell, but no reason to panic in Plattling yet. This could still be a very good team!
