Purer Neid - aber net schlimm, da alle anderen Vereine außer Plattling damit klarkommen und es niemandem wehtut. Und Plattling ist nur so aufgedreht, weil es mal einen Plattlingovitsch gab - aber auch deshalb lacht der Rest über Plattling. Nicht wegen der Geschichte, sondern wegen diesem Weicheigehabe aus Plattling von wegen Polizeidurchsuchungen und weinerliche Mails an den Farmers-Vorstand. Nun denn, auch hier hat es niemandem geschadet. Und außerdem haben ja nicht nur die Farmers hin und wieder mal in der Sache Trouble - ohne zu sehr ins Detail zu gehen. Was wäre passiert, wenn es bei Plattling passiert wäre und es hätte QB Hazel getroffen? Then hätte da nobody what gesagt? Bullshit!

Montabauer has been on a PR mission since they came into the 2bl (without a playoff/relegation game)

Farmers play models/ the adventure begins/ the way they describe game days.... I could go on and on... sorry but I find that kind of "gelabber" irritating and disrespectfull to the other teams in the league.

But group me with plattling because it is impossible for you guys to believe that annyone could find the farmers less than "the golden boys" of the 2bl.

the farmers schreiben Presseberichte jetzt schon seit Jahren - egal ob Oberliga, Regionalliga oder jetzt 2. Bundesliga. Es ist ein Teil der Vereinsphilosophie, dass man auf der Homepage Berichte über den Verein und die Spieltage veröffentlicht. NIEMAND ist verpflichtet, diese zu lesen. Aber kannst du dir vorstellen, dass es im Westerwald und im Rheinland eine Menge Football-Freunde gibt, die sich gerne über die Homepage informieren? Genau die soll die Homepage beliefern, und nicht Vereine aus was weiß ich woher. Warum in Gottes Namen sollen die Farmers jetzt keine Berichte mehr schreiben, nur weil sie in der 2. Liga spielen? Warum dürfen sie sich nicht über einen Sieg in Saarbrücken freuen? Warum dürfen sie nicht schreiben, dass sie gegen Wiesbaden gnadenlos unterlegen waren? I just dont get you! They dont hurt anybody with the Texte!

Diese Diskussion gab es ja schonmal: Alle klagen, dass Football kein Standing hat. Betreiben aber Vereine Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, werden sie dafür von dem ein oder anderen Football-Experten schief angeschaut nach dem Motto: Fuck, euer erstes Jahr in der 2. Bundesliga - haltet die Fresse und schreibt bloß keine Berichte.

Dann: Was meinst du mit ohne Relegation oder Play-off-game? Hast du die Farmers jetzt mit Stuttgart verwechselt? Die Farmers haben in den Play-offs zwei Mal gegen Erding gespielt und gewonnen - daheim vor 1400 Zuschauern im entscheidenden Spiel. Hast du die Pressemeldung dazu nicht gelesen?

Inhaltlich: Sorry, aber warum müssen Texte auf Football-Homepages bundesweit einheitlich sein? Warum darf man nicht auch mal ein Stückchen Kreativität einfließen lassen? Es muss dir ja nicht gefallen, aber du musst die Art und Weise der Artikel schon respektieren - denn sie diskredieren niemanden anders. Im Gegenteil, in den Farmers-Berichten (vor und nach den Spielen) kommen IMMER auch die Gegner zu Wort. Wo gibt es das sonst? Wer macht sich da sonst eine solche Mühe?

Abschließend: Haben die Farmers jemals von sich selbst gesagt, sie seien die "Golden Boys"? Hat sich das Team selbst im Vorfeld derart gehypt - oder wurde es vielmehr genau hier gehypt und auf Rang drei getippt (was natürlich Bullshit ist!)? Haben die nicht immer respektvoll von allen Gegnern gesprochen und gesagt, sie müssen erstmal nur die Klasse halten?

hui ui ui... wenn ihr alle ehrlich seid, seht ihr, dass hier jeder irgendwas gegen irgendeinen verein aus irgendeinem grund hat... sei es neid, niederspielung um das eigene team besser dastehen zu lassen, eine persönliche vorgeschichte, o.ä.

aber das lustige daran ist, dass dann doch irgendwie jeder sagt, dass er nichts gegen ein team hat, ABER das die ja trotzdem sooo gemein und sooo fies sind...

Never said the farmers shouldnt write their P.B.. maybe you misunderstood that part. The arrogant, flamboyant, and hype manner in which they write their P.B's is rediculous. That is my problem, and I am not alone..

But i do find that the fans and the players from the farmers think they are better than everyone else... egal welcher liga......

I like the way the farmers introducing themselves to the public. Information AND humour. Maybe not kind of humour anyone agrees with. But that's part of the PR business. And you shouldn't forget that they are targenting their PR news first of all to the Montabaur area, NOT to bavaria and the football forum. So if you can't stand that kind of PR that draws a capacity crowd to the homefield it ist ok. But don't critizise a media department that is just doing a good job ......... 600 fans in the regionalliga, game by game. Why? Good PR, thats it!

Fassen wir die Montabaur Pressemeldungen mal so zusammen:

1) Ironie ist der Unterschied zwischen dem Gesagten und dem Gemeinten.
2) Wem das gefällt, für den ist es das Höchste.
3) Wer was böses reininterpretieren möchte, der hat ne super Plattform dafür
4) Es gibt einen Haufen Spassbremsen
5) Manche Teams (Plattling) haben wegen ironischen Texten (die man wie gesagt vielfälltig, auch negativ interpretieren kann) schon einigen Stress gehabt
6) Andere (Montabaur) wissen das widerum nicht

Fazit:
Lustiges geschrieben und nix böses dabei gemeint ABER nicht die Hintergrundbefangenheiten gewusst...

Nobody in the whole f...cking farmers-land thinks this way. You can even ask the erding bulls what they think about us - and we have beaten them in the play-offs. But we had two great football-days with them, it was great and without any problems at all.

Everybody has got his favorite team and teams he doesnt like at all - no problem. But you`ve gotta understand, that their PR ist not working, because they think they are the best - not at all!! As mentioned here before they work hard for their own community, and not for other teams or the footballforum.

Come and see a game in Montabaur - i pay your burger and beer. And then show me all the arrogant farmers. You will be surprised...there are not that many as you think.

Sorry to dissapoint you but i have actually talked with their old Qb..Brandon, he was cool and humble and was surprised at what was going on with the club and their media....

I said they play good football and its fun to watch... but the way they write about themselves is sickening sorry... cant change my mind about that.

Talk about a double standard - I did some homework last night because, well, I was bored LOL. Everyone has piled on Montabaur, it was a good game experience - Bruschi, take Tomsel up on his beer offer!

Corpse's remark was that Franken was the darling of the league, Pinky asked if I am comparing Plattling with Franken, so here is my breakdown of Franken and the double standard:

From looking at Franken's homepage and PR reports, this is what I find: There were 6 PR on players coming to the Knights. Manu and Sali were with Franken last year, must of been a surprise they were returning, so don't count that. A PR Report on the 2 imports - Kattre and Simmons, not 2 guys that spent the winter in Franken, 2 guys that came there 2 weeks before the season begins. Plattling gets HAMMERED for being IMPORT heavy, I looked back at the forum prior to joining, and even yesterdays comments, PBH get freakin HAMMERED! Hazel - don't believe the hype yada yada, but Plattling BUYING a title. No fallout whatsoever for Franken, we talk about what good additions these are.

PR Report #2 - Schopf - He's German, but this is part of the knock too on Plattling, PAYING their Germans. I don't balance Franken's checkbook either, but German National Players, in my opinion, have EARNED the right to get compensated a little, but what the hell do I know about running a German team!

Report #3 Hartmann, RB from Dresden...he was just stopping by I'm sure, no fall out.

Report #4 Adrian Samuel - IMPORT, all we talk about is how it strengthens Franken, not TRASH them, but I don't see him on the roster...what gives???

Report 5 Roznjik - Czech National Player, he was just coming to Franken for the beer, right??? No fallout

Roster - count it 31 players from other football programs, 31!!! Rothenburg is one of the tourist traps of Germany, nice city, close to Nuremburg, but there is enough kids from there to GROW them through their Junior program, right? 31, how many of these 31 are starteres, hell I don't know???

Pinky - do I compare them with the PBH - freak an A right I do! If the shoe fits wear it!

NOW the flip side, I personally think it is GREAT that they have 31 players, that speaks volumes for the program, the coaches, the game day experience! The imports, I promise you Kattre will pass on something to SOMEONE in that program before he leaves. I am sure Simmons will do the same too, but Franken is the darlings of the 2nd League, Plattling the Transparent team, give me a freakin break guys, wake up and smell the coffee! What it looks like to me is that both Franken AND Plattling are addressing their weaknesses through recruiting. If other teams don't want to do that, this is fine, they can bounce back and forth between the 2nd and 3rd league for years, but Plattling and Franken, ADD WIESBADEN look like they are doing what it takes to make it to the next level. It is only a matter of time for all 3 programs and they will get their shot at GFL1, Sorry Franken and PBH, Wiesbaden is bringing me GFL1 next year, good luck in 2009

10 Euro says that I could move to Plattling rent free LOL

Sorry to dissapoint you, but brandon knows about our media. it is the same media we had the years he was playing for the farmers. no changes at all - why should he be surprised?

But...doesnt matter...call us arrogant and tell us, we should learn some matters. we will go on working like this, because we think, this is the right way for OUR community.

Mal zu dem Nürnberger/Fürther/Ansbacher Haufen in Rothenburg:

Wo wollen die denn spielen, wenn sie nicht in den Niederungen der Bayrischen Ligen versinken wollen? Wo ist das nächste 1. oder 2.-Liga-Team?
Franken ist in dem Punkt in einer sehr komfortablen Lage. Angebot und Nachfrage, is klar?


Wären die alle zu den Timberwolves und mit denen in Liga 2 aufgestiegen...


Recruiting ist eine Aufgabe des Vereins, und nicht die unwichtigste. Egal, ob gekauft oder sonstwie gelockt.

I understand your point Pinky about Ansbach/Furth/Nuremberg, if I am a 1st/2nd League talent, I don't want to play on a 5th League Team...got it! And I don't see anything wrong with coach Halbet contacting these players and telling them, "You know, you are better than the 5th League, we've got good coaches, good fans, good stadium, come give us a shot." I am all for it, trust me, and this is in no way, shape or form a slap at the Franken Knights Coaches, Organization, Fans or Team, but why is it OK for it to happen in Franken with no consequences, hell, they can even bring over IMPORTS 2 weeks before the season begins and no one even blinks an eye, and Plattling gets nailed for "buying a team"? Please tell me the difference between what Plattling did this season, and what Franken did??? Like Wiesbaden, they improved their weaknesses by bringing in players.

I looked on a map, things are a little different for Plattling because of where they are. There is no big city that close (Other than Munich which has a GFL1 Team), and Regensberg who has a 3rd or 4th League team. Plattling is small in comparrison to Rothenburg, WAY smaller than Saarbrucken, Wiesbaden, Augsburg and Stuttgart (which also has a GFL1 Team), I think maybe Kirchdorf is even smaller. I was stationed in Hohenfels in the mid 90's, and Bavaria, especially around Munich, Regensberg et al. is Bayern Munich crazy, so they do what they have to to compete. I think it is a credit to the organization that they want to win, and that they want to introduce American Football to a Soccer Crazy State, but 95% of the football forum regulars trash this team on a regular basis, a bought team, couldn't play in the 2nd league without their imports. That is BS WHEN you take everyone else's imports away to!

Naja, letztes Jahr waren die Franken die Deppen, dieses Jahr sinds die Black Hawks.
Die Ostfranzosen kann sowieso keiner leiden.
Die Schwaben können kein Hochdeutsch.
Bei Königsbrunn glaubt eh keiner, daß die in der Liga bleiben.
Montabaur schaut nur gut aus und macht einen auf Pressegott.
