Re: Oberliga Mitte 2025
So I usually donât come on here but I was told that my name was being thrown around.
Although I am a very private person and I usually just let people speak as they wish about me because very few know the real me therefore can only have opinions about me through what they hear from other people that donât know me.
Starting with Hanau. I loved that team and itâs players and we built a solid program with some talented coaches and obviously real football players that were hungry for knowledge and learning all that we had to offer. It showed on the field and we did well! My staff and I sat down with the Vorstand and were told that they did not want to go to the Regionalliga! After alot of discussions, my staff and I said we would leave after the season. After the season the players were told and quite a few decided to leave. Most went to Rodgau or other places. Some went to Offenbach( biggest mistake of my career) to join me and my OC.
That leads us to Offenbach! They had gentlemen in charge there that believed in "my way or the highway" which doesnât work with me unless you have more knowledge and then I can work with that. So after building that team up too, the fired me in our online meeting pertaining to the coming season. It was a shock to me but also a relief! I only wanted to stay for the players and would have worked or at least ignored them as I had done the whole time.
Wetterau had contacted me a couple of times before and then after their HC left I said I would take over. They were very forthcoming in wanting to win and move up and left me free reign over how to do it. Thatâs where we are today.
As far as my OC/Qb goes⊠He had been with me for years and was always there for his coaches and team. He was mr. 24/7!! He was the best man for the job based on the past. There is no doubt that he is an excellent qb with a ton of football knowledge and experience. So the decision was easy! None of us including him could have known that life would get in the way of his football commitment! I gave him more time than I liked but he had earned that!! Yes it became an issue with the rest of the team but that decision isnât up to the players or the other coaches. The HC makes the tough decisions and it should always be like that! I have let good friends go before and this time was no different! It sucks but itâs football.
I understand when less informed and less knowledgeable people see this as going against the clubs or ruining the clubs by the decisions I make but I have NEVER left a club with the intent of leaving them in ruins. Once I leave or am fired the player have to decide what they want. We are all grown men! I think in the end my record and my way of coaching will be that what the people who know and appreciate me will remember. All the drama is for children and weaker men!
I woild appreciate you just asking me if you want to know my truth.

Well said Mike!! Here in Wetzlar we always respect playing you and your team. We have had a few OC/DC battles over the years , always my favorite.Michael Myers hat geschrieben: âMi Sep 03, 2025 10:45 So I usually donât come on here but I was told that my name was being thrown around.

I think alot of posters only see things from the outside. They really dont understand the inner workings of a Football club.
See you soon !
