First off all I don't have a bum knee. Second of all its gonna be 8 months since my surgery so that's plenty of time for me to get back into shape.
I'm already sprinting and jumping and its been 5 months. Plus I work at Velocity Sports Performance so I'm getting quality workouts in everyday.
Bum knee? Come on, I'm not sitting around getting fat. I'll be back to game form by month 7. Hope everyone is doing well in Germany, miss you guys, see ya'll in the summer

This season should be interesting, I think the Phantoms have to be picked at the top, they have the most intact roster coming back from the contenders last season. Everyone else hopes they have improved but only game day will tell for sure. The crazy schedule this season may play a roll as well. Good luck to all this season.
~ Average is just as close to the bottom as it is to the top

OK - bum knee is probably a bad analogy. Simmons is a stud, looks like a body builder, and no doubt he is not sitting around getting fat. ACL/MCL injuries for skill position players are normally a major injury, require better than a year to heal unless you are an OL who in the NFL have surgery about every year. Here is wishing you much success Jason, hope all is well and you are scoring TD's soon!
2009 will definately be a fun season, I think more balanced than last season with the 3 new teams. GFL2 is normally the story of the have's and have not's. With Plattling gone, we won't have anyone to bash for buying a team...unless it is Franken
Those of you who know my posts know I am all for the import thing, rules allow it, and those who complain about it are just pissed because their team doesn't do it
My personal thoughts are that this season is Wiesbaden's season, although I was thinking Plattling and Wiesbaden were 1a and 1b last year. Franken will find a way to creep back into the picture. From what I gather from my sources, Darmstadt will finish middle of the pack. Saarland had the Defense last season, but struggled offensively. Montabaur - no news, best question is who will be tossing the pigskin atound there with Brungel playing in the North. If Lindsey can get some targets in Stuttgart, they could be a factor; Pikes, Bandits - who knows although I think the Pikes will be a little stronger in the end.

Wiesbaden finally wins its championship!
2. Darmstadt comes in and competes, but not quite enough to win it all.
3. Franken has the potential to win it all next season, depends on their imports!
4. Saarland, a little better, but still not enough!
5. Montabaur slips to 5th. It all depends on who they bring in to QB the Farmers, they could be 4th.
6. Kaiserslautern will hold the GFL2 South. It will be interesting to see what imports they bring in next season.
7. RN and SSA I am guessing with the drop of Kirchdorf. These 2 have a long uphill fight out of the basement. If SSA can surround Lindsay with Play makers, they have the potential to also be much better.

MCL injuries ain't major injuries and they don't take a year to heal nor need neccesarily surgical treatment...ILoveThisGame hat geschrieben:ACL/MCL injuries for skill position players are normally a major injury, require better than a year to heal unless you are an OL who in the NFL have surgery about every year.

Come on Michel, rating Darmstadt up close to the top was based on thoughts of Outlaw returning, and players staying with the program to try and move back to the GFL1.
Franken is always near the top. With Simmons coming back, this is a step in the right direction when his knee is OK. I can't imagine bringing in Simmons UNLESS Franken was planning to bring in a QB that can throw the ball around. He and Rohn are a great 1-2, the big TE Welker gives a good over the middle target, and there is a stable of good RB's. But again, feel they lost too much on the Defense. Who will replace Mehanovic and Pohlmann, and the big loss of Reed also hurts. Maybe if Franken brings in a stud LB and DB, they are prepped to make a run again. Wiesbaden owns the advantage in O/DL by far. Our RB's are better, Franken will be better at the WR and QB position, hence my thoughts that Wiesbaden will be there in the end.
I like the QB pick-up for Saarland; puts them right back in the thick of things, Darmstadt - Alexander is a good QB with no targets.
Stuttgart - if in fact they are picking up players from SS, and IF they get a big-time A WR to go with Lindsey, they will jump into the mix. I saw this kid play HS Football, he is a stud with someone to throw to!
The rest - who knows?????
GO PHANTOMS!
