Who will drop down in the South and what about the North?

Beitrag von Texican »

The Mighty Ants...have sealed the Süds fate for who will get the boot.
Everyone thought, including myself that the Ants were done and on their way out in 2007. "Hey! everyone knows an ant can´t move a rubber tree plant"...boy were we wrong!
Well, here they are with 4 wins!
Hanau will drop down this year, maybe A-berg too!
Hanau has four tough ones- Franken-WP-Hawks-Ants at home it will take a small miracle to pull it off, need too win three and points on Ants. Yikes!
Look for Silver Arrows in 2008 and maybe M-Farmers also or the Diamonds /Saarland being in the 2nd liga.

Langenfield and Hamburg....I picked Hamburg this year, gee was I right for once!
But Panthers and Jets could be the spoilers?
Can the GFL live with two teams in one city?

Who will win the Süd Cup?
Lets look at the crystal ball
9/9
illy beany chilly beany, the spirts are about to speak...
Franken needs to get healthy otherwise its the Cowboys...but we have 4 weeks still.
What do you think?

I agree to the point that Hanau will only have a small chane to stay in that league, maybe by 5%,because the last Games will be not an easy one.

Furthermore I think that A´berg will follow Hanau to the 3rd,even if they are on a way up by there on performance, woke up to late !!!

For the Top it is a kind of day performance of each Team to be the champion this year, but the more interessting question is,will it be enough to win the game against Saarland ????

Best wishes

Saarland...tough loss against WL-but Danny was playing, even though he is still not 100% and T Brown not 100% that was enough to seal the deal, stat wise SH out did them, but lack of QB and Air game will kill you against WL.
Saw the DD vs WL game...both teams did horrible...DD´s defense was winning the game, but the Personnel Penalty that they always have killed them like it did against the Falcons the first meeting, sometimes aggressive is stupid. They have three qames left and the make-up...against Hall. Scorps and Mar-Merc´s...if they lose these three and Saar H has a miracle and wins one...it could be the DD´s in the reg Play against- Munich/Franken
Can Saarland beat Munich/Franken I have not seen any of these three play...but Stat wise and personal I would say yes. The real question is who wants to go up?
Also The New Universe Team...Frankfurt. I hear they have stadium rights, training Facility rights, sleds and the whole uniform, pads etc.etc. from the Galaxy...if this is true, would they not be the perfect new team for the GFL- they have spoke of 16 games and 8 teams in the south and north?
TV-Stadium-Town- at least 2000 fans per game- great site for German bowl-sponsors no problem. The GFL has always had their own set of rules, in my opinion, I think this would be a great idea. Mr Huber and associates do not want pro teams but the old club system, but if these items above are facts I think that this would be a huge benefit for the GFL and football in Germany as well as Hessen and keep with what the powers that be want.
Guys I am not advocating anything just putting down an opinion so don´t get mean with me. Just want to know if other people are thinking this?
As for Arena, hey I was thinking about that 2 years ago and had two investment bankers a DB interested. Maybe I should look them up?

Is ja schön, dass die Stadion und Trainingsstätte haben, aber woher 45 GFL-Spieler nehmen ohne eins der nahen Teams zu versenken, die wachsen ja nu auch nicht auf den Bäumen...

How about you Fighti?...
I think they can get 50 players, easy, as GFL top caliber....maybe 12 and fill in the rest. Many players will come because of fan base, many will come because of stadium and feel like its almost the show(NFL).
2nd Liga teams and 1st liga teams in area.
Much talent but its spread out...thinly.
Football is in trouble with the youth, the NFLE has left and the hope of playing in the NFL with it...yes their will be programs for development of players, here in the area they want to send two youth players to US college...but the NFL has taken the game away...who is going to stay up late and watch games and dream of playing, not many...back to fussball and handball-yuk! The generation of young talent wants to see and feel football, not some distant game thousands of miles away...the NFL should have given the league 5 more years and sold the ownership to German and european investors in that period, but PRO is a naughty word it seems and working a professional model is a crime. I have expressed time and time again about the pro vs club model. With the prospect of pro game gone you have hobbyists and you will have a new generation of hobbyists, but this will dry up soon and football will be back to a bunch of big guys knocking the piss out of each other and drinking beer on the sideline on Sundays with 10 different colored helmets in 10 to 12 years.
I had a great experience 2 years ago in the Old Stars Game, I had the privilege of coaching these guys, these old stars, man these guys could play and with two practices we beat a younger team. It is a shame to see the talent and effort that these old vets gave the game and are still giving it to go to waste.
Again just my opinion and thats all.
