Ich weiss zumindest zwei Dinge:Wayne hat geschrieben:weißt du überhaupt wovon du da redest junge ?
Wayne interessierts!!!

You are right... to some extent. The research was done and DS was recommended by a few coaches who worked with him before, also in the GFL. He´really seemed like a young, hungry guy who was just waiting to get his shot. Well, had MM known then what they know now. But, as my former coach used to say "if my aunt had nuts, she'd be my uncle!". You can only do so much research on a coach/player, the rest is pure luck. Sometimes they work in Germany/Europe sometimes they bust.
As far as the good German coaches, MM had 2 great ones last year. If MM had the choice than those two would still be there gearing up for another run at the GB. Unfortunately that was not the case and MM had to search for replacements. The defense coach is a great fit (I think he turned down the Head Coaching job). As for Head Coach and Off Coord. we all know how the search has turned out so far. Certainly not a great way to start a season but certainly not a reason to start bitching and simply give up. Conditioning program is up and running and the new coach should be there in a week or two. Plenty of time to steer the ship in the right direction. There is plenty of (experienced) talent on the offensive side of the ball so the transition to a new coach should go smoothly.

Laut der topaktuellen Homepage sind es ja folgende gewesen:wall street cantina hat geschrieben: As far as the good German coaches, MM had 2 great ones last year. Offense Coordinator: Patrick Hansen (B) Rücktritt
Quarterbacks: Joachim Ullrich (A)
Wide Receiver: Marcel Duft (C)
Runningbacks: Michael Daub (B)
Offenseline: André Matthes Berlin Adler, wer macht das jetzt?
Defense Coordinator: Sebastian Tuch (B) Rücktritt
Defense-Line: Todd Eagle Wohl zurück in den USA
Linebacker: Daniel Garcia Jetzt Defense Coordinator

And I had a coach, Jim Graham, who was six-foot-four, he had played linebacker
at Penn State. He was just this hulk of a guy and he was old school. And I mean really old school.
Like he thought the forward pass was a trick play. [laughter] And he showed up for practice the first
day, and you know, there’s big hulking guy, we were all scared to death of him. And he hadn’t
brought any footballs. How are we going to have practice without any footballs? And one of the
other kids said, excuse me coach, but there’s no football.
And Coach Graham said, right, how many
men are on a football field at a time? Eleven on a team, twenty-two. Coach Graham said, all right,
and how many people are touching the football at any given time? One of them. And he said, right,
so we’re going to work on what those other twenty-one guys are doing.

scheint also eine anerkannte Trainingsmethode zu sein...
BTW:
