Samstag: Bad Mergentheim Wolfpack - Aalen Limes Pretorians
Aalen wird aufgrund der gesammelten Erfahrung im ersten Spieltag, knapp mit +7 gewinnen.
Sonntag: Heilbronn Salt Miners - Pforzheim Panthers
Pforzheim wird vermutlich den Ausfall des QBs schwer verdauen können. Heilbronn gewinnt mit +21.

If you mean a.k.a. crack-back, this used to be legal (damn Im feeling older again all of a sudden)

A wide receiver would come in motion to directly blind-side attack a defensive end who had no idea that he was coming. We never had a problem with this (I dont mean the Miners now, Im talking about when I started playing in High School back in 1989) because our Defense TALKED on the field and let the end know the receiver was coming. We also ran a counter-crack with the linebacker to punish anyone who tried to crack-back. This type of block in itself is very dangerous to a defensive player, as it can easily destroy a knee if someone isnt paying attention.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAX7IVe_Sn4
keep an eye on the defensive end on the left side of the video

If your team was not warning you that a crack-back was coming, you have either really upset your entire team, or the team was not *yet* experienced enough to counter it.

now... to the 300+ penalty yards in one game.
holy crap!
This doesnt mean the Bears are a terrible team, it just means they had a very bad game as far as sportsmanship is concerned. it is definitely not a "typical" Bears game as far as I am concerned. I am sure they will iron this problem out in their next game.

I actually had a ref whistle a play dead while I was still running towards the end zone with the ball. Some defensive player jumped into my legs and the ref thought I was going to fall so he whistled it dead. I have never wanted to rip someones head off more than in that moment.

I REALLY miss this part of football while ON the field. I still don't understand why I cant try to intimidate an offensive running back verbally, but its perfectly legal for me to put him in the hospital. :(

Yep, I know what a crack back is, but I was trying to get the idiot from Ostalb to define it cause I know he didnt know what it was but was saying things in an open forum that didnt make sense. Did the Bears even run any WRs in motion in the directon of the tackle box during the game? NOT! So how exactly were they crack back blocking?

Motion isnt necessary to crack but the point is clear...people that think they know football throw out terms and think they know the rules (hint: it isnt holding if a WR stays head up with you and drives your ass backwards till you hit the ground and "facemask" penalty covers more than just the actual facemask lol) and then they come in the forum and say things like "hey they were crackback blocking us and the refs didn't call it." That is BS and paints the wrong picture of what happened during a game because certain folks use terms that they dont even have a clue what it means.

Well not 300, 200 yds if I read right. But it could also mean a very bad referee crew was working the game.

ah, the explanation was intended for Rainer about the crack back.
I also meant 300 yards penalty total, not just the 200 from the Bears.

In our last game we also picked up a few personal fouls for "talking" in english and german. However no flags were thrown for the player constantly cussing his ass off at us in Russian.
Didnt know the rule was "no trash talk in languages we can understand" ;)

I wont say *who* it was, but the offense will be able to spot him pretty quickly :D

Which is exactly why its stupid to throw flags for smack talk. Now of course you can use judgement when it gets out of control, but if I am a LB and I tell a RB "Im coming to get you 2-7." and he answers back "No need to come get me Im bringing it to you 5-3". PLEASE will someone tell me how the hell thats unsportsmanlike conduct in a sport that is predicated on violence!!!!???? Maybe in soccer that has no place but in football it is all about violence and intimidation.

@ wall-e if you´re saying that on the field...its no problem...but some guys are telling over there mothers and what they do with her or how she looks...thats not fine....ok...sometimes it could be funny...of course...
but if someone calls you motherfucker without the need to do this...ok...for me no problem...on the next play he has a motherfucker on the height of his knee...also not nice...but it cools him down...a legal roll block....not for hurting him really...

smack talk should not got to "personal" ...the problem is, that some guys couldn´t control this with all the adrenalin and become hot like chilly...you can confuse him and his play....but some guys could be very bad and try to hurt you...and thats not the way where football should go to...playing hard but fair...

i know the bears and like your way to play football...go on this way you´re playing in the offense...ok, the passing game could be a little bit better

we would see what you get thies year...also the other teams...

That's also what Wall-E and I are talking about. There is a difference between intimidation trash talk and just being an ass in general. Unfortunately both are banned as it seems the referees are not being given the responsibility of distinguishing between the two (ignoring the fact that people are still trash talking in languages they dont understand)
