so ein spiel sollte doch nur eine halbzeit lang gehen. bzw. werden wir vorm nächsten spiel mit einem team 2 quater spielen vielleicht bekommen wir es dann mal hin über ein gesamtes spiel gut zu spielen..

The sideline ref ruled a ball caught in the Team Zone as a "completed pass".
I find it hard to stay motivated when both teams know we arent supposed to have the ball.
Thankfully there was great sportsmanship on both sides today and we were able to just grind our teeth and keep playing.
Never judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then you are a mile away AND you have their shoes.

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about on that play. The LJ mistakenly thought the second line (team zone line) was the sideline and ruled it a catch on a crucial 4th down. The first down gave the Salt Miners the ball in the red zone and a few plays later it turned into a TD. Yes, it can get you really pissed when you stop a team on 4th in your territory, but then the ref rules a catch out of bounds to be complete and then a few plays later they score when you know full well they shouldn't even have the ball. I just don't understand why some refs can't admit a mistake after they clearly see it was an error. But instead of trying to fix it before it further effects the game, they will lie to you and say "I didnt see it at the time". But damn if you have good mechanics, shouldnt you be in the proper location more often than not? And even if you are out of position, how do you NOT know the difference between the team zone line and the real sideline when you are the Line Judge or Linesman?? Don't your mechanics dictate that you run DOWN the sideline with the WR so that you are facing the field of play? So how do you not see when a player is out of bounds catching the football?
Either way it goes, the game is now in the record books and the players and coaches all know what happened. But I definitely look forward to seeing these two teams go at it again in the second game.

Ich will eueren 2.Halbzeit Sieg nicht schmälern, aber unser HC war der Meinung, dass nach 26: 0 in der ersten Halbzeit, in der 2.Hälfte alle unsere Backups spielen dürfen.
Dennoch war es ein sehr faires Spiel.
Somit schon mal liebe Grüße nach Aalen!!!

ja das mit den backups haben eure spieler ja öfter erwähnt. wobei ich da auch noch sagen will das wir in der 1. halbzeit gegen euro progamer den ball auch stark bewegt haben... und hatten auch hier 2 mal die chance auf nen touchdown.
aber ist natürlich immer wichtig zu sagen das die backups der backups auf dem feld standen.
und laut meinem vorstand ist pforzheim raus.

So Pforzheim is out now, that really pisses me off, now our 10 game season is down to 8. That team knew they had player issues before they applied for the league and now they have screwed everybody else by shortening the season for the other team. One side of the league will have 9 games the other will only have 8. I don't know what kind of "penalty" they will receive but it won't be strong enough in my opinion.

I think the league will do the same thing they did with Lahr in the Landesliga last week -- give all the teams they were scheduled to play a 20-0 win, erase their first game result and also replace that with a 20-0 loss and then continue to play out the season

I think so too, but the fact is This division only gets to play 8 games and that sucks. Also every team in this division loses a home game.

Ich war als "Gegner" auf´m Feld. und wir hen uns seeeeehr oft begegnet!
Hatte ein Bier und 2 Steak´s... Waren lecker!
@wall-e: Ich hab doch erwähnt das ich erst Mitte des 3.Q. zum Spiel gekommen bin...und da war der Punktestand bei 18 - 20.....und das die Defense der Bears die Offense der Miners absolut im Griff gehabt hatte konnte ich bis Mitte des 4 Q. nicht entdecken. Wie konnten die Miners dann bitteschön 18 Punkte erzielen? Und ich bleib dabei: Ohne die Fumbles hätte es leicht anders ausgehen können. Und für mich ist ein Fumble immernoch ein Fehler des Ballträgers, zumal er schon in beiden Fällen min. 5 Yards zurück gelegt hatte.
Aber wie du sagst: Das Spiel ist nun Geschichte und beide Teams haben den Zuschauern ein schönes Spiel gezeigt.

Well every one is entitled to an opinion but generally speaking there are two types of fumbles -- forced and unforced. If you will notice "Forced Fumbles" is an official stat that is given to the defense which means generally speaking in football it is accepted that if it is a "forced fumble" then it was caused by the defense and was not a "mistake" by the ball carrier. An "unforced" fumble IS statistically an error by the ballcarrier for whatever reason because it occurs without contact or cause by a defensive player.
So when you write that in a forum full of "football" people that are supposedly knowledgeable on the sport there is a huge difference in how you mention a fumble. Your post makes it sound like HN had two unforced fumbles when in fact they were forced. Small yet very very important difference if you are going to report how the game went.
Panthers sind also raus... Gibts vom Verband oder den Panthers was offizielles? was passiert eigentlich mit den 15 – 18 spielwilligen Spielern? Dürfen die nun ohne Sperre bei anderen Teams anheuern? Im Endeffekt können die ja nichts dafür, dass die Panthersführung den Kader falsch eingeschätzt hat.
