War ne Vermutung, daher der Konjunktiv (müsste). Sollstärke könnte auch 6 sein. Ungerade Zahlen sind da eher selten.
Sollstärke der RLM ist z.B. 8.
Und in der GFL2 sind es auch 8.
Von daher wäre mein Tipp 8 und die Gliederung in 2 Gruppen gewesen (=10 Spiele).

I would prefer 6 Teams = 10 games, but could live with 7 Teams = 12 Games as long as the Season is completed by the end of July when the kids get out of school and players start taking vacation.

Aber 6 Teams denk ich müßte das Minimum in der OL sein

I agree you shouldn't go less than 6 Teams, it would be a very boring league if you did.

Jerry! Welcome to the OL! You guys did great and will be tough to beat next year. You may have a short stay here.
Rooster...I do recall AC being 0-10 a couple years back in the RL and PW being knocked down last year....oder?
I am sure either DH or AC would do just as well as RV is now, but they have to maintain that to stay more than a couple of years. Better to go in full strength after dominating in BW OL.

If they decide to keep the Crailsheim Titans in and we play 12 games, I am cool with that. It obviously takes me 4 games to warm up as a coach, so 12 games work for me

@Rooster, well you obviously know these team and football more than me. But AC stayed up one year and so did PW, that is 2 out of the last 3 that went up...not sure about ancient history.

Wir waren 2006 dritter in der RL und 2007 stiegen wir dann wieder ab
Kann aber immer passieren denke ich, denn keiner weiß, was in 2 Jahren alles passiert ( Verletzungen, Vereinswechsel,.... )
Ich denke, man kann jetzt auch noch nicht sagen, wer dann 2011 in der OL der Favorit sein wird

Your right with the Crusaders, they went down in 2007, but they didn't moved up the year before. They played the RLM also in 2006 (and finished 3rd, after moving up fresh into RLM!).
The first year is easier most of the times, as you can go underrated.

Actually they were pretty steady in the results all year...maybe on field it may have appeared they became competitive but the results were the same.
Case in point: CT lost on average 12-34 in the first 8 games and over the last 4 games they lost on average 13-33. Pretty consistent actually...
If they go down, then we will have a 10 game season. The long breaks between games are a double edged sword. They allow time for people to heal from minor injuries, but then practice attendance goes down.

wie gesagt wenn zwei absteigen muss das vor der saison klar sein...
alle spiele verlieren ist so ne sache: wir hätten heidelberg gerne gespielt und ob wir da verloren hätten kann hier jetzt wild spekuliert werden...
dazu kommt folgendes: hätten wir nicht mitte der saison gewußt dass der abstieg mit dem rückzug heidelbergs erledigt ist hätten wir in der rückrunde nicht so sehr konsequent auf die jugend gesetzt!
viele backups und junge spieler haben viel einsatz bekommen! wenn es um nichts mehr geht ist das ein optimaler zeitpunkt um trainingseinsatz zu belohnen und nachwuchs aufzubauen.
Sorry Tom, ich kann mich nicht daran erinnern, daß definitiv von einem Absteiger die Rede war. Sobald eine Überregionale Liga darüber ist kann es immer mehr Absteiger geben, da man vor de Saison nicht weiß wieviele in den eigenen Landesverband absteigen. Das ist in allen Sportarten vor. Habe schon Fußballligen gesehn aus der 5 Mannschaften aus diesem Grund abgestiegen sind. Aber warten wir ab was bis zur Spielausschußsitziung Mitte Dezember passiert.
