Das ist eine etwas sparsamere Variante des X1, hab Xenith mal ne Mail geschrieben..
"Hi Tim,
Thank you for reaching out to Xenith and for your feedback on our website.
While the X2 will not be available for sale off the Xenith website until June, any of Xenith’s Authorized Xenith dealers will be able to place an order for you now. We recommend you work with one of our dealers for a couple of reasons; they will be able to properly fit your son for a helmet and they will be able to service you faster if you should ever need something (that’s the best value). Please visit our dealer locator online at
www.xenith.com/how-to-order/ to find your local dealer.
As you read on our website, the X2 will offer the same amount of protection as the X1 while costing about $100 less than the X1 (Adult $200, Youth $100). The difference in cost lies primarily in materials (a 4 piece bonnet instead of a 1 piece bonnet) and an assembly process that involves much less labor. Please see some other similarities and differences detailed below:
Shock absorbers –The X1 and X2 will feature the same shock absorbers
Bonnet – The X1 has a one piece bonnet, the X2 has a 3 piece bonnet. The X1 has a cable inside the bonnet which gets tightened when the low chinstrap is cinched. The X2 has an elastic fit band that adjusts the upper part of the bonnet to the players head, while the lower part of the bonnet is fit to the head when and the lower chin strap is cinched. Both bonnets have a 2 year warranty.
Shell – Both X1 and X2 Adult helmets have a polycarbonate shell (5 year warranty). The youth X1 has a polycarbonate shell and the youth X2 has a ABS plastic shell (3 year warranty).
Comfort pads (pads that touch the players head) – In the X1 these are the same piece as the shock absorber. In the X2 these are velcroed into the bonnet and different sizes (snug or regular) can be easily interchanged to get the proper fit.
Chin cup – The X1 comes standard with a hard chin cup, the X2 comes with a soft chin cup. A hard chin cup is available upon request for the X2 however.
Snap Buckles – The X1 adult comes standard with metal snap buckles, the X2 adult comes standard with white plastic snap buckles. Both youth helmets come with plastic snap buckles.
Facemasks – Facemasks are the same for the X1 and X2
Facemask clips – Facemask clips are the same for both the X1 and X2 adult."
