Gott im Himmel, wo lebst du denn?Ich dachte die Knights wollten einen Neuanfang in der 2.Liga starten, weil sie kein Geld mehr haben für die GFL?
Geld für "mehrere" Amis ist aber da! Oder spielen die in Rothenburg alle um sonst?
Da hätte man doch bestimmt die Lizenz für GFL bekommen können und auf "mehrere" Amis verzichten! Dann wären die Nürnberger und viele Andere doch bestimmt da geblieben!
Glaubst du echt, dass Geld für ein paar Amis in der 2.Liga ausreicht um GFL zu spielen??? Dann lieber ohne Amis in die GFL? War da nicht mal was? 2002 ohne Ami-QB?
Vielleicht, aber auch nur vielleicht, ist das Geld, das für Amis jetzt da ist, das Geld, das man sich bei den Nürnbergern spart.

Im übrigen kommt so ein Ami-Coach, den man wieder heimschickt, auch nicht für umsonst! Da kann man sich sicherlich den einen oder anderen Spieler für leisten!
Jetzt steht es endlich offziell auf der HP der Knights, dass sie den Supercoach Mendez wieder heimgeschickt haben, hat ja lang genug gedauert. - Wenn sie das nicht gemacht hätten, würden wahrscheinlich noch weniger in Rothenburg bleiben.

.Pinky hat wahrscheinlich gemeint, daß es nicht unbedingt ein Manning sein muss, sondern eben einer, der noch nicht so versaut ist und vielleicht nicht vom besten College kommt.
In Rothenburg hatte man bisher meistens Glück mit den Imports. So bestimmt auch in diesem Jahr!!!

Bedenkt man, daß die Silverarrows in Minimalbesetzung -da kurzfristig eingesprungen- zu diesem Benefizspiel angetreten sind hat dieses Ergebnis nicht gerade richtungsweisenden Charakter. Die Diskussion über den Nachrücker möchte ich nicht neu entfachen - aber letztendlich wird die erste Spielbegegnung vs. Wiesbaden zeigen wozu die "kleinen" Schwaben im 2. Ligabetrieb fähig sind.

You probably know that I spent a week in Rothenburg. My main purpose was to introduce myself to you and to find out if you were excited about my coming there to coach you for the 2005 season.
I was terribly disappointed only meeting three or four guys which actually showed me that perhaps the FRANKEN KNIGHTS team wasn't the same team that played against me when I coached in Saarbrucken where I was impressed with them and Martin. I even typed out a little qustionnaire and gave it to Wolfgang to determine which times were best to train. I have not received any in return.
When I tell people here in the states that you people will begin training in February for a possible May 21st beginning, they think that I am kidding. No one likes to train more than I do, but I also realize that too much training is just as bad as too little training. Three months of training brings about boredoom and burn-out which as a coach I will try to avoid, because just like you I have specific goals that I will try to meet.Your training for February and March should consist of running and lots of it, and theory. I do not feel that bringing out a ball is necessary but we will work on automatic defenses and coverages as well as different offensive sets., so the guys who display mental ability and running ability will have a shot at starting for me. When I mention running ability I a referring to quickness. Everything I do requires quickness, and you don't have to be a speed burner to be considered quick.
My fist day with you will be Sunday, February 13th so don't make any plans. I hope weather will permit us to be outdoors, if not we will be inside. If for whatever reason you don't make that first practice sessions, you will be on my "shit-list" where I will decide if I want you with me for the season. There was a lot of talk about guys not wanting to play in the second league
and I can't understand why. If I, as a coach who has won four national championships and three Eurobowls, and now am coaching in the 2nd league and I can handle it, you ought to thank your lucky stars that you have a guy who is determined to take you back to the 1st league. I don't care to hear about the Munich Cowboys or Swabisch Hall, but if you feel like you rather go there, be my guest because I will still win with or without you

Jetzt sind die ersten Spiele vorbei und 2 Aufsteiger haben schon gespielt.
Silver arrows - Wiesbaden 0 - 34
Ants - Wildcats 0 - 47
Hornets - Wildcats 8 - 15
Das sind schon ganz schön heftige Ergebnisse für die beiden Aufsteiger. Normalerweise müssen diese Spiele knapper ausgehen, wenn Sie in dieser Liga bestehen wollen. Und als Aufsteiger bringt man normalerweise viel mehr Elan nach einem Erfolgreichem Jahr mit. Hoffe die beiden Aufsteiger können noch ein bißchen Gas geben.
Und bei den Hornets muss ja wirklich was gehen, nach der knappen Niederlage gegen die Wildcats. (Der letzte Artikel auf der HP der Hornets hat mir auch gefallen).

Da kann ich den ANTs ja nur gratulieren.Das verstehe ich unter Elan.
Anscheinend habt ihr die Woche wirklich hart an euch gearbeitet und ein wirklich schönes Ergebniss hingelegt.
Nach so einer Niederlage wieder motiviert an Werk zu gehen ist wirklich Respekt wert.
Wünsche auch weiterhin den Ants noch viele Erfolge und überlegene Siege.
